In many places of the world where life is defined by the hustle and bustle of the modern world, not many are graced with the comfort of a beaming mood. But despite the reality of this notion, there is still a country that is home to many smiling people, it earned the moniker, “Land of the Smiles”—the Kingdom of Thailand.
But, while the season in the country is mostly sunny year-round, it is not the absence of gloom that makes its people as smiley as they portray to be. The Thais, in general, just loves to smile on many occasions even though the meaning behind the gesture is not all the same.
Although Thailand may hold the title as such, it is the people of Norway, arguably, who deserve the title given the quality of living in this prosperous European nation.
A Sought-after Place
Formerly known as Siam until 1939, Thailand is a country in the southeast that is renowned by many tourists for its well-rounded multi-faceted aspects that appeal to many travelers.
So, how does this predominantly Buddhist country stands in the global ranking in tourism? As a country, Thailand currently holds the 9th position as the most-visited country in the world while France and the United States hold the first and second positions, respectively. However, as far as having a city deemed most traveled by tourists, Thailand has Bangkok which ranks as number one.

Intrinsic Appeal for Tourists
Although the idea of inhabiting a people who have the tendency to smile may be pleasing for most people, it is not the smiles of the people per se that is the charm of the country for tourists.
For one, tourists coming from countries with better economic standing find many things in this Buddhist kingdom to be relatively cheap. A single dollar can exchange for some Thai baht which can afford quality products on the street or any other business establishments.
If you are not too picky at your temporary place of stay, there are many lodging in the country that can accommodate at a measly $20 per night of stay. Other pieces of stuff that cater to needs are also affordable as well which leads to the next point, which is food.
Foods, in Thailand, are as diverse as the many cultures which comprise it. There are literally so many dishes to choose from, you would not be eating the same foods twice. Although generally known for its spicy dishes, some areas in the country offer spicier cuisines than others which makes each place worth venturing for their foods alone.
But, of course, no travel in a country deemed exotic by foreigners is complete without seeing the culture of its people and the many renowned places of visit. From the outset, the Thai culture is heavily influenced by the Buddhist faith as seen in their architecture and their way of life.
Yet, there are also those places that are neither affected by human influence nor religion which defines Thailand as a geographic location set apart from its neighbors and other countries from far-flung places.

As the capital of Thailand, Bangkok made its name famous for varied reasons. Aside from the presence of different tourist spots like the Buddhist temples, what makes people visit this place are the malls and shopping centers available in the city center! If you are in the mood to do a shopping galore and do a redecoration of your wardrobe, then Bangkok is the perfect place for you. From clothes to shoes, and all other sorts of merchandise, they have it and for a way lower price. No wonder why many travelers from overseas would go to this place and buy some stuff to sell once they get home.

As a marketing student, the top three activities that could revive or boost again the Tourism Industry in Thailand are (a) Creative promotion, (b) Improvement of Tourist spots and (c) Active Tourism preservation.
Creative promotion is one of the essential factor that can help market the beauty of Thailand’s tourist destinations not only in the local level but also Globally. Active promotion can help encourage tourists to explore what Thailand’s Tourist destinations could offer. While reaching the market globally, Thailand must also need to step up in order to offer a promising Tourism experience for prospective tourists around the globe. We must always remember that in every experience, first impression always lasts. Moreover, Active Tourism preservation is essential in reviving the Tourism in Thailand because it is the primary factor and the very reason on how Thailand can regain its Tourism activity back to its former glory.
As a Marketing Student, this is the three activities that I suggest to boost the tourism industry.
First we need to follow the protocol of DOH regarding in the Covid Case in that way we can operate freely or we can start operating our business. Second, renovation of our tourist spot or we need to renovate our place to attract tourist. And Last advertisement, after we settle the place or we follow all the protocol of our LGU and DOH we need advertise our on social media, magazine or news to inform that we are operating already.
I like the place called "Land of the Smile"-the Kingdom of thailand i want to go in that placed someday. Thailand is place for long vacation because the place is very nice. and this vlog give me an idea regarding in the tourist spot in thailand
As a marketing student the three strategies that I can give to boost the tourism in Thailand again are as follows:
• Track the current marketing trends
• Invest in travel influencer
• Invest in advertisement
1. Create unique rare spots/destinations that attract tourists to visit the country.
2. Travelers today depend on friends and family recommendations to find the ideal place to visit thru social media post and stories, others seen with famous vloggers.
3. A well edited video can greatly impact one’s perception of the country and boost influx of people visiting the country. Through advertisement sites and platforms is easier than going to each country to promote tourism.
The three activities—food, nightlife, indoor activities, and outdoor activities—that can significantly enhance Thailand's tourism business.
When it comes to cuisine, in my perspective, Thailand's street food is the best it has to offer. As I've seen in a few random videos, their food is excellent and delectable.
Like in the US, Thailand's nightlife doesn't care what you wear or who you are. Because Thailand has so much to offer in terms of tourism, a large number of foreigners visit and enjoy the country.
Indoor and Outdoor Activities, when you are traveling as family you just want to visit some historical and ancient activities . Then Thailand is a friendly budget for you, why ? It takes 3hrs approximately from Philippines to Thailand . And dont missed out to catch out with their Elephants Jungle Sanctuary wherein you are allowed to touch and play with them with some precautions.
Aside of their tourist attractions, Thailand is now booming when its comes to pageantry . Especially in Miss Universe, it just started in Catriona's Era up to now. The Rival of Thailand when it comes to pageantry is no other than our amazing country which is PHILIPPINES!
As we are now reaching the end of the pandemic, the Tourism Industry must prepare something for those people who wants to travel again. First, create a tour package with accommodation that can satisfy the travelers. This is very attractive for those people who want to travel to different places in just 2 to 3 days. Travelers can save and at the same time can enjoy the tour. Second, photography and posting it on social media with details that people who can access might be interested in the places and can soon be their travel destination. Lastly, the tourism industry must create an original music video that can describe the beauty, tradition, and culture of every place. It can be more inviting to those people who can hear and see things about the places.
The economy of Thailand is significantly influenced by its tourism. More than that, the country's distinct and rich culture, as represented by its people, islands, beaches, cities, taste, cuisines, and the way of life, attracts many people to visit. Improving the marketing and promotion of the country's tourism is one way to boost its tourism. Thailand should be marketed and promoted as a significant travel destination that emphasizes its distinctiveness both domestically and overseas. Using social media to promote its distinctive attractions is another way to boost tourism. Highlighting what is unique and exciting about the country gives tourists with important information and activities that affects their travel choices. Travel videos are another method for boosting tourism in Thailand. Videos are becoming prevalent these days. Making travel videos to highlight the country's tourism, interesting facts, and to inspire tourists to visit the country through its stunning visuals and the meaning interactions that provide to its audience.
Rebuild the tourism industry by:
1.) Establish and build a Sustainable business that could attract tourist and could stand pandemic that might come in the future
2.) Loosen up restrictions and requirements for international travelers and business persons
3.) Rebuild , construct and enhance tourist spot and attractions to catch the attention of the tourists. Online world is one of the most helpful in terms of spreading news about new attractions in the world
As a marketing student, I will establish or organize three activities that will help boost the Thailand's tourism industry. The first activity is to post about popular tourist destinations on social media, as people now spend more time on their social media accounts. Second, promoting the best discounts and special offers for those who make an advance reservation such as in hotels, restaurants, and entertainment. Lastly, by encouraging the Thai Tourist Department to exempt other countries from visa requirements and to support or promote national security.
* Influencing/Influencers - Thailand is known for its beautiful people. Many of them are also known on social media with thousands of international followers. I strongly believe that they are the most effective people who can bring back the tourism industry of Thailand, by letting the world showcase the beauty of their country and the people, and even their mouthwatering food. With just one click, they could reach thousands of people who would like to experience the same thing with them. They would’ve booked a flight in an instant since Thailand does not have any travel restrictions anymore.
* Posting on Social Media - the beauty of social media is that it’s free! Anyone can share a photo, a post, and anything they like without having to spend a single cent. Social Media is a part of every human’s routine now. With a single post, anyone can comment, share and react to that. If we are trying to show something to our friends, families, and anyone unknown to us, we can do it through social media. So if we’d like to boost tourism in Thailand, then we can do it through Socials. Even if we haven’t been to that country, by having to show it to the world, anyone would love to go there someday, and those who can afford it may include it in their itinerary or holidays.
* Digitization - With easily accessible online transactions - from ticket bookings to house rentals, even online restaurant reservations, and online transportation bookings, these could help us, consumers, in this ongoing pandemic, since we are adapting to the new normal. Lessening face-to-face transactions, and practicing social distancing.. would not only boost the tourism industry, but also the business sector. Everything is within reach. Not only those businesses affected by COVID-19 could save their money from those printed flyers (as a traditional way of promoting) but also their time handing it to person by person.
