TRIBAL HILLS NATURE PARK | PUERTO GALERA NEW ACTIVITY ATTRACTION

The Tribal Hills Nature Park
When we think of Puerto Galera, the first things that come to mind are the beautiful white sand beaches and underwater marvels that abound in the area. These known attractions are wonderful but, contrary to popular belief, Puerto Galera has other secret gems situated on its mountain range that will excite you. Located at 141 km south of the overcrowded concrete jungle of Metro Manila, Puerto Galera is one of the top all year round visitor destinations in the Philippines.
Whether to unwind, relax, beach party, be one with nature or soul searching, it is one of the easiest to reach go-to places.
Only 1 km away from the white sands of Aninuan beach, and lying at the foot of majestic Mt. Malasimbo, Tribal Hills Nature Park is a new attraction in Puerto Galera. Located in Brgy. Aninuan, just 10 minutes away from the famous White Beach, they offer an activity park attraction that includes aerial activities, off-road ATV trekking, archery, a picnic spot, and raw nature altogether. It is also near Aninuan Falls, you can ask your trekking guide to drop by before going down to the waterfalls for a cool dip to finish your day-trek. A favorable and fun place to conduct team building, family outing, camping or other nature-loving activity.
The Park offers a Sky Circuit up to 30 meters high, though each crossing has a different level adjusted to the degree of difficulty. At the highest point, you will be eye-to-eye with the coconuts in the coconut trees. Great effort has been taken to minimize excavation of the natural terrain and to preserve the natural habitat as much as possible. The Sky Circuit features 7 different crossings each of which has been constructed of materials such as wood, ropes, tires, and bamboo. The crossing part is often feared by people with Acrophobia (fear of heights) but, what is life if you won’t try to face your fears? You can ask your guide to be by your side every step of the way if it makes you more comfortable. The facility provides proper safety gear to give you assurance and make your experience more enjoyable and fun.
After defying gravity (metaphorically speaking), another thing to do here is to test your coordination sense in driving by trying their ATV trail. I’m not talking about just flat, dirt road with a puddle of mud. The path corresponds to the shape and elevation of the hills you are passing. So, expect up and down elevation and zigzag dirt road that will raise your adrenaline and makes you feel tough and cool.
A convoy guide will lead, advise and alert you on every difficult part of the trail. My tip is to ask them a little favor to hold your camera and capture the drive experience to post in your social media so your friends can see what you been up to on your vacation. Trust me, it is an automatic bragging right, not a lot of people have guts to do an extreme activity. The whole train goes around the perimeter of the park. Definitely a great and lively experience.
This place is not just for adults, if you have your child, niece, grandchildren or younger siblings with you, they can have their own adventure appropriate to their age. The park offers a mini Sky Circuit for children or people who are too afraid to try the higher circuit. Just beside the kid’s circuit is a traditional children playground with swings, tire obstacle, seesaw and wooden steps that would entertain the kids while the adults are doing an extreme activity. The playground is all made of wood, recycled tires and rope to prevent any hard or sharp object accident. A child-friendly place where kids can have fun and appreciate nature they won’t see in the city.
But if you just want to unwind, relax, see the sight, walk around the forest or binge on your book list, this place can give you the sanctuary you are searching for. Away from the noise, air pollution, and otherworldly annoyance. The serenity of nature can offer technology and social media purge. The juxtaposition of the place from the extreme and fun activity to the tranquility and natural harmony is something every person’s soul should experience from time to time. Or if you just want to take your family to a peaceful place to bond, they have several gazebos for free. I recommend this place as a go to.
