As you enter the Katibasawan, you will see full of ferns surrounding the area. It gives you a forest-like and natural vibe. It seems like a beautiful backdrop of falls.

The Things to Do while at Camiguin and Katibawasan Falls

Katibawasan Falls can be your stop location while traveling into the entire Mindanao expedition. From Camiguin proper, get ready as you will ride a habal-habal going to the area. You can haggle for the price if you think the charge is unreasonable.

While you are traveling from Camiguin, you will pass through the forest. Don’t worry. The road at first is smooth. You will see vendors along the way. Their natural products are the local’s authentic delicacy, the thin cassava wafers with coconut syrup. You can ask the motorcycle to stop for a little while to buy foods, clothes, kiping, or souvenir at the stall along the way.

As you reach the road further, the road is muddy, especially during the rainy season. That’s why I recommend you to visit the Katibawasan Falls during summer. You can still visit the place within ber-months. Just make sure to expect hassles of transport.

As you approach the sight of the falls’ entrance, you will feel the adrenaline rush inside you. It has a sound of nature that is tingling to the ears. When you reach the gate, you will see a stairway going to the table and fall’s basin. The overall temperature in this place is higher in altitude.

You can bring a jacket with you if you are planning to stay until the afternoon or evening. Expect the water to be cold enough for you to chill while staying at the water for a long time. Ideally, plunge at the water to release the stress away from your body. It is also a good therapy. If you wish to see the entire beauty of Katibawasan Falls, you can walk through the top of the stairway to see a bird’s eye view of the peak of its basin. Bring your camera with you to take a picture of nature.

Yes, the falls have freezing water, but a risk-taker will take no for an answer to try a dip. After a few minutes of staying in there, you will feel your body adjusted with the temperature.

If you are planning to visit Camiguin Island, you can stop by at this place since it is only a few hours away from your destination.
