After my duty as a panel member in an MBA thesis defense, my heart yearned for connection and good food. Don Salvador Benedicto beckoned, and with my friends CG Gisona, Engiemar Tupas, and Leilani Dusaban, we embarked on a soul-nourishing journey to Café K.M. 41.
Join me as I recount the heartfelt conversations, the delightful flavors, and the warm embrace of this captivating restaurant.
For us, embarking on a journey is not merely a means to reach a destination; it is a destination in itself. As we hit the open road, a sense of adventure and anticipation fills the air, ready to weave its magic into our lives. With each passing mile, our spirits soar, and laughter fills the car. The shared moments of mirth become the fuel that propels us forward, infusing the journey with infectious energy. We find solace in the simple act of being together, finding delight in the little moments that make life so extraordinary.
A Journey Through Rain and Reflection:
As CG Hisona skillfully maneuvered the car, raindrops gently fell, as if sympathizing with the emotions swirling within us. We embarked on a heartfelt discussion about life and love, with Engiemar bravely sharing his experiences of heartbreak and growth. Each of us contributed our insights, but it was Engiemar’s story that moved us to tears, reminding us of the fragility and beauty of human connections.
Even mine and Cg’s colorful love stories, woven with their own unique complexities and journeys, paled in comparison to the radiant tale of Engiemar. His story not only made him stronger as a person but also instilled in us a newfound belief in the power of true love. Engiemar’s principle resonated deeply within us – that love is a special gift that requires no expectations of rewards. His mantra in life is, “To love unselfishly, with all one’s heart, carries its own inherent reward”.
With Engiemar’s story lingering in our hearts, we continued our drive through the rain, each lost in our thoughts, contemplating the meaning of love, resilience, and the transformative power of vulnerability.
In this photo, we see radiant smiles and eyes filled with genuine happiness. We witness the power of connection, the magic that happens when friends come together to share a meal. It’s a reminder that in a world filled with busy schedules and distractions, these moments of pure joy and heartfelt connection are what truly matter.
