Green is Life!

 The official launch of ANP’S Natural and Organic Sector on Sept. 29, 2011 at Rockwell is a marketing event that aims to increase awareness and generate support towards natural and organic products. Timed with the 26th Negros Trade Fair , the Green Is Life ! campaign at Rockwell will mainly feature a Forum on the health, environment, social and economic impact of natural and Organic agriculture. Organic experts from Negros will be flown in to Manila to deliver the various talks. The forum targets niche markets within Rockwell and the mainstream market of Metro Manila which includes supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, media , sports enthusiasts, green advocates, food processors and associations Green Forum Pam Henares, owner of Buro-Buro Springs Vermi Farms and founding member of the Negros Island Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development will talk about the impact of Organic Agriculture to Environment. Auke Idzenga of AID Foundation , a BBC World Challenge Champion and Magsaysay Awardee will share on how they are bringing herbal products to the grass roots. Medical practitioner, Dr. Albert Jo will teach the proper way of eating organic and natural products for better health. Mon Penalosa of Penalosa Farms , one of the front runners of Organic Farming will talk about AGRO Tourism in Negros and its many business opportunities. Ruby Cruz of Herbanext will highlight on Negros as base for herbal raw materials. Dr. Stephan Kunz, Country Director of AFOS Foundation will present their intervention for the development of the Fruit and veggie network chain in Negros.

The guests will then be treated to an organic merienda after the forum to give them time to interact with the speakers and producers. As an added incentive, invited guests will be toured around the Natural and Organic Section and can avail of discounts from participating companies for their purchases. Green Is Life Gift Packs In anticipation of the Christmas Season, the new sector offers special gift packs that cater according to special preferences of customers. The Farmers’ Choice pack contains rainforest coffee; brown and red rice , Muscovado Sugar from rognaicaly certified farms. Another pack called “ Bakasyonista pack” comes in handy for those who like to pamper themselves with natural personal care items such as VCO massage oils in various scents , natural soaps, body spray and body scrubs. For the healthy eaters comes the “Yuhum Pack” which includes gastronomic treats of dried pinapples, fruit bars; organic banana chips, natural fruit jams, lemon grass coolers and natural teas.
