27th BASCON RESTAURANT (Updated 2016)

That  was my first time at 27th Bascon, one of the  fine dining restaurant in Bacolod City.We had our guests at that time from Manila and we wanted to give them a taste of Bacolod Cuisine.  So we brought them  at the 27th Bascon Restaurant.

The Ambiance.  The Restaurant has an eclectic interior design. The floor has a black and white pattern which looks modern, but the furniture  seemed recycled but was beautifully restored.  The mezzanine floor has some reproductions of old windows with capiz shells. But if I will give my suggestions, I wanted to change  the chandeliers whose shades are in fabric with black and white patterns. The materials and craftsmanship don’t add value to the place.

At 27th Bascon, all plain rice are unlimited … the waiter will come to your table to serve rice from the basket.

The Service. We love the courtesy and attention that were given to us by the waiters. They were so courteous and they were all jolly while serving us. While some of them  lack product knowledge, for me they were still one of the best waiters we have in town.

Lupad-Lupad with Guava Sauce. “Lupad” is vernacular term meaning fly

The Food.We ordered “Lupad-Lupad” – a butterfly-cut, deep fried tilapia served with Guava Sauce. The sweet taste of guava sauce creates a different flavor to the fish. Of course, the  Callos and Lengua are a must try. The KBL or Kadyos, Baboy and Langka is also one of the best offerings of the place. Our guest found the food really good.

KBL, Kadyos, Baboy and Langka

A must try, Callos
