That was a tiring day…I just completed conducting a 3-day training workshop for the Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation in Hilongos, Leyte. After the workshop, we transferred to the capital city of Southern Leyte— Maasin City.
I was resting my back while browsing the show on TV when Kathy Paulmitan, Training Officer of NWTF texted me that we are already going for our dinner. Kathy and her husband NWTF’s Area Manager of Leyte brought me to the Kinamot sa Abgao Restaurant. We just walk because it was just very near from the place where we were staying.
Kinamot sa Abgao is one of the best restaurants in Maasin City which is good for dating, birthday, wedding, and other parties. According to my hosts, the resto is a popular shoreline restaurant frequented by foreigners, backpackers, divers, businessmen, and families. There were 3 tables occupied by families when we visited the place.
Upon entrance, I immediately feel in love with the ambiance…Cozy, relaxing and the bay view gives me a “nice feeling”— making me feel like having a vacation on a private island. I like the furniture and furnishings, made of good wood and some antique findings.
Nothing exceptional with the food, but not bad as well. We asked the waiter of their specialty, but he offered their fried chicken. Oh well, I have so much of chicken way back in Bacolod City, and I didn’t come to this place just to eat fried chicken.
The resto is adjacent to the Villa Romana Hotel which has tropical architectural designs distinct with its capiz shell windows. It offers a total of 13 rooms, all of which overlook the Main Bay. Some of the rooms also have balconies for better sights of the breathtaking tropical views.
Thank you, Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation (NWTF), Ms. Tess Nunez, Training Manager, and my hosts Mr. Roger Paulmitan, Area Manager and Kathy Paulmitan, Training Officer. My Leyte Experience: surely, a HAPPY TRIP!
