MASSKARA QUEEN 2012 FILIPINIANA PHOTO SHOOT

The MassKara Queen pageantry of Bacolod City is crossing borders to show the world how it has evolved to become the city’s most prestigious beauty event and also to give the lucky ladies the chance to explore the world outside of the City of Smiles.

The MQ 2012 Final 10 candidates had a Filipiniana photo shoot Thursday at Sta. Barbara Heights Residential Estates in Sta. Barbara, Iloilo City.

The ladies were captured both in video and photo shots in settings that included a lake, a cattle field, a hilltop, a garden, the facade and interiors of a clubhouse and the estate’s main entrance.

They wore mostly modern interpretations of the Filipiniana attire in various cuts of the kimona, the maria clara, the baro’t saya and the balintawak in different shades of blue, bronze, white, grey, yellow, red, green and magenta.

The MQ 2012 is a production of ABS-CBN Bacolod in partnership with the Silver MassKara Festival Organization, Inc. It is in its 6^th staging now under the mantle of the local Kapamilya station*

UPDATE:

The 2016 MassKara Queen is now produced by The Silver Masskara Foundation in partnership with the Association of Colleges and Universities in Negros Occidental (ACUNO). This year’s chair is Dr. Ma. Mercedez Joson, Dean of the Graduate Studies and Continuing Education of La Consolacion College – Bacolod City. The coronation night will be held at SMX Convention Center, Bacolod City. Eleven lovely candidates representing different schools in Bacolod City will vie for the crown.

For this year, The Negrense Blogging Society had partnered with the organizers  as one of their media partners. They will be giving their SPECIAL  AWARD – The Negros Bloggers’ Choice.

Former Binibining Pilipinas-Universe MJ Lastimosa will grace the event.
