ONE SUMMER AFTERNOON @ PUNTA TAYTAY (Updated 2019)

Punta Taytay, Bacolod City

ONE SUMMER AFTERNOON @ PUNTA TAYTAY

Just this afternoon, we’ve decided to go to Punta Taytay–to eat and to take some pictures. We also brought along with us 2 of our dogs. We have 5 dogs in the house, but they were too huge to fit in the car.  So we brought Chubby an 8-month old Golden Retriever and Kara a 5-month Belgian.

Punta Taytay is a coastal community within Bacolod City. The place is always nice to watch the sunset  while enjoying an early dinner in one of the cottages along the coastal area. While waiting for the sun to set we allowed our pets to play in the water. I was told that this was a good exercise for the dogs.

Punta Taytay I guess is not meant for swimming, but a good place for a picnic.  Nice place to eat also especially in the viewing deck area. But based on my previous experience, the restos in the viewing deck are just best in grilling seafood.

We’ve enjoyed the place so were our dogs. In fact, some beachgoers played and had their pictures taken with our dogs.

After a while, I’ve noticed that the sun is about to set and its perfect time to take pictures already. I was waiting for some fisherfolks to arrive for me to take pictures of their harvest but I was unlucky. In my previous visit, I was lucky to even to buy some fresh catch by the small fisherfolks.

So for those who doesn’t have the time nor budget  for a long weekend, try the nearest resort available to you. It’s just a matter of being creative on how to enjoy this summer.

How to get there:

From Bacolod downtown area, anyone can take the PUJ “Punta Taytay-Central Market” Route or you can take a taxi if you like.
