EXPERIENCE BACOLOD MASSKARA : PAINT YOUR OWN MASKS

Bacolod City, earned  her title  as the ” City of Smiles” primarily because of its annual Masskara Festival wherein dancers and participants wear smiling and happy masks. The “Smile”  distinguished Bacolod Masks from the others.

While Bacolod Masskara Festival happens only every October. The Jojo Vito Designs Gallery  offers interactive painting activity for everyone who would like to bring home their own hand painted masks.This activity aimed to give every visitor the taste of Masskara Festival all year round. The gallery also houses the most numbered of masks collections in the City of Smiles. These  masks are also being exported in America, Korea, Australia, Malaysia, India and  China.

Jojo Vito Designs Gallery also accepts group tour who would want to have the painting activity. For group tours, the painting activity would begin with a short talk about the Masskara Festival and follow by a fun painting activity. Please be reminded that large group tours who would want to do the mask painting activity need to have at least 2-day  notice. Small groups may come anytime.

The mask painting activity are open to kids and adults.

  • I have never been to Bacolod. I hope that someday I could bring my kids and for them to experience how fun to live in the Philippines. This festival is so much fun to watch.

  • This is a nice idea as you can be creative with your own mask for the masskara festival.

  • Wow, those masks really look vibrant and awesome. I think they would be a huge hit when you export them to other countries and large markets seeking for pretty mask designs.
