MQ Beauties Strut Their Way to A Medical Mission

           

MassKara Queen 2011 candidates are lined up for a series of activities before the pageant. One of which is the Medical Mission set at 888 Chinatown Square Mall. Here’s the news sent to me by my friend through email.

Beauties with a cause. This is how the MQ candidates would like to be molded and projected by the ABS-CBN Bacolod’s production of the Search for the MassKara Queen (MQ) 2011.

 

Executive Producer Carmela Gamboa said that the team would like to come up with girls who do not only possess beauty and brains but also the heart to serve others. That’s why for their first outdoor activity, they were made to participate and immerse themselves in Bantay Bata 163-Negros’ Medical Mission at 888 Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011.

 

The girls got involved in the registration process, lining up of the patients and organizing them properly for the smooth flow of the activity. They also assisted in the giving of free medicines to more than 500 barangay residents, mostly children, who availed of the free medical and dental treatment.

 

The MQ candidates also enjoyed in the feeding activity for also more than 500 children and their parents and/or companions who were treated to a soup kitchen. Likewise, in the mini trivia game spearheaded by ABS-CBN Bacolod’s News Team, where they helped out giving prizes of free vitamins.

 

The medical-dental mission was in partnership with 888 Chinatown Square Mall, the Bacolod Adventist Medical Center, Our Lady of Mercy Hospital, Provincial Health Office and the 303^rd Infantry Battalion, who came complete with a free haircut and massage for everybody.*
