Masskara Queen 2012 SWIMWEAR PHOTO SHOOT

The MassKara Queen 2012 Final 10 candidates went on an ecological awareness trip to Danjugan Island in Brgy. Bulata, Cauayan over the weekend for their swimwear photo shoot.

Before the scheduled shoot, the ladies first underwent a brief session and an actual exposure on environment conservation and appreciation of nature, especially pertaining to the reef and rainforest which is abundant on the island. They were also made to experience planting mangroves and picking up trash by the seashore.

ABS-CBN Bacolod MagTV na Amiga host and MQ 2012 Executive Producer Carmela Gamboa said this was to prepare the candidates for questions that may come up pertaining to ecology and conservation during the coronation night, “so that they would not only have mere answers to the questions but by heart, have actually experienced it.”

Danjugan Island is being managed and operated by the Philippine Reef and Rainforest Conservation Foundation, Inc.

The MQ 2012 is a production of ABS-CBN Bacolod in partnership with the Silver MassKara Festival Organization, Inc. It is in its 6th staging now under the mantle of the local Kapamilya station*

About the Swimwear Competition and Updates

The swimwear competition has been a staple in any beauty pageants. Almost all beauty contest has a swimsuit competition wherein the candidates showcase their body figures in their bikinis. While some cultures disallow this part of the competition. Many on goers would look at this segment of the competition as a must. Most judges would want to see the entire figure of any candidate through their swimsuits.

For 2016 The Masskara Queen Swimsuit Competition was held at Palmas Del Mar Bacolod City. The event was not really publicized and was limited only to major sponsors and the media. According to the organizers, they don’t want to really expose the candidates very often wearing their swimwear. Yet, there will still be a swimsuit parade during the coronation night.
