Sinigang, Panga ng Tuna

OWA’S BALAY PANGAHAN IN SILAY CITY

That was raining and I was quite busy…Well, I need a break I thought. The invitation for lunch for the Negros Bloggers group from one of the Restaurant in Silay was just perfect.

From Bacolod City we were the last group of bloggers to go (Ed joven , Runnel Reyes and yours truly), in fact quite late because at first I turned to the wrong street when we arrive in Silay. But looking for  something in Silay wasn’t really that difficult because the City proper is relatively small. So after another turn we arrived at our destination- the “Owa’s Balay Pangahan”.

Grilled Tuna Belly

“Pangahan” connotes the specialty of the house, “Panga ng Tuna”. Obviously Tuna is not common in the seas of Negros , so their Tuna were basically shipped all the way from General Santos.

When we arrived , our fellow bloggers were already having their dessert. So the owner of the restaurant Mari Stelle Estella had to prepare additional food for the three of us.

We were served Sinagang na Tuna which i truly adore.I was tempted to indulge with Aligue Rice, but I resist the temptation and just opted for a plane rice. I also like the Grilled Tuna Belly.

The conversation and laughter amongst friends made every dining experience more enjoyable.

The Ginger Tea along with the an original recipe of the Dilis de Leche for dessert were simply amazing.

The sinfully delicious, Aligue Rice

The Dilis de Leche is like Polvoron with Dilis which creates a different texture for a dessert
