In my recent visit to Dumaguete, I happened to pass by Sidlakang Negros Village. Sidlakang Negros Village is Negros Oriental’s small version of Negros Occidental’s Panaad Village. Sidlakang Negros Village is a one-stop tourism center for Negros oriental.
With almost a hectare land area, the village features tourist booths or pavilions for all towns and cities in the whole province. The Pavilions are made of indigenous materials like bamboo, nipa, cogon, etc. –something that is truly Dumaguete. Visitors can inquire about tourist destinations, and get a preview of what each town and city in Negros Oriental can offer. You will find great finds for artistic and distinctively Dumaguete souvenirs (handcrafts, ref magnets, keychains, t-
At the tourism center, one can find some artistic and distinctively Dumaguete souvenirs (handcrafts, ref magnets, keychains, t-shirts, colorful bags, etc) made from terracotta, capiz, shells, and woven materials.
Sidlakang Negros is also the site of many tourism-related events in Dumaguete City. The village is particularly busy during Buglasan Festival which happens every October.
Within the Sidlakang Negros Village is the Negros Oriental Provincial Tourism Office.
How to get there
Sidlakang Negros Village is about 1.5 kilometers northwest of Dumaguete Seaport and about 2.5 kilometers southeast of the Dumaguete’s Airport in Sibulan. It is near the Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital, Provincial Tourism Office and the Hall of Justice. You can hire a tricycle for P8 per passenger per destination or you can get a cab for less than P100.

I've never been to Dumaguete, but your post has gotten be interested in the souvenirs and handicrafts you can buy there. Adding this to my must-visit places now.
This is one heritage attraction worth visiting in Dumaguete. I hope to see it in the future.
That's a unique tourist center. Looks kind of deserted though.
Do the entire village look like the photo above? If so, it's amazing how they were able to maintain that kind of village look and feel! Good that in this village is the tourism office; it somehow adds to the exposure of the village to tourists. :)
This is really a nice place to visit,I must say, such a lovely village.
