On our way back to  Cagayan de Oro   City from a half day trip in Dahilayan, we made a side trip to the Gardens of Malasag Eco-Tourism Village. Garden of Malasag is situated in Sitio Malasag, Cugman; a rolling terrain in the slopes of reforestation area which is just 20 minutes from the city center. Malasag garden appeared to be a cultural village in a botanical garden setting, it features the tribal practices & crafts of Mindanao tribes. You will see sculptural pieces of Mindanao Ethic Folks displayed all over the place.

The Gardens of Malasag Eco-Tourism Village also serves as the learning center for ecotourism, ethnic arts, flora, and fauna endemic to Northern Mindanao. Moreover, the place also intends to generate revenues and livelihood for the tribal groups. Ethnic products can also be found at the souvenir shop in the village.
