ILOCOS, VIGAN, PAGUDPUD TRIP PART 21:LAST DAY IN ILOCOS

The  last day of our  Ilocos Trip (Ilocos, Vigan, Pagudpud)  was basically spent for resting and just recapping how the trip was. After eating late breakfast at Isabel Suite, we just packed our things decided to just spend  the remaining hours we have at the mall taking our chance if there were souvenirs  that we can buy to take with us going home.

Talking about souvenirs we didn’t find anything interesting, so we just decided to stay there for a while to have our lunch and not running after time. That was also an opportunity for us to recap and evaluate how our trip was.

Probably, for personal reasons, our Ilocos Trip was basically one of the best trips I ever had not only about the place but because of the fun and experience.

Going to the province all the way from Negros Occidental was a bit stressful because before our flight for Ilocos  we dropped by SMX to attend a furniture exhibit which was also my idea.

But here’s a recap of what we like the most from this trip:

  1. We were impressed by the free tourist shuttle which Ilocos provides for their guests from the airport to the hotel. For me, it’s a wow!
  2. Isabel Suites is clean and very tourist friendly (take note, we paid for our stay in the hotel).
  3. I love Ilocos’ Bagnet and crispy Dinuguan.
  4. Nothing spectacular about the salt making, but it was very educational.
  5. The Cape Bojeador has a great view, so don’t miss this place.
  6. The Kapurpurawan Rock Formation is also worth a visit.
  7. While Bangui Windmill might have been overly hyped before, having our lunch at the place made me feel good.
  8. The sand dunes experience was the best of all the things that we have tried in Ilocos. It was very engaging and something that is not commonly offered in other places.
  9. Nothing really amazed me about theMalacanang of the North, but it’s worth visiting because of its historical value.
  10. While some food servers were not as warmth in Batac Ilocos, the empanada is worth a try.
  11. I don’t like anything which pertains to death but visiting the Marcos Mausoleum is  must to be reminded of our history. I am a martial law baby, that’s why…
  12. Climbing the Bantay Belfry is quite a fun, also a good place for a photo op.
  13. Experiencing the animal show in Baluarte was memorable. Don’t be afraid to participate…
  14. There’s nothing much at the secret garden, but I like the experience of playing with the clay at Pagburnayan.
  15. The Vigan’s dancing fountain was spectacular. Don’t miss this in Vigan.
  16. Make sure to get a hotel at the Calle Crisologo inVigan and experience eating along the street at night.
  17. Of all the heritage houses in Vigan, the Sequia Mansion was my favorite because they  have a good tour guide.
  18. The architectural design of Paoay Church  amazed me.
  19. The Juan Luna shrine was worth visiting because of its historical value.
  20. I love the Patapat Viaduct , perfect for a photo op.
  21. The Pagudpud and the zip line didn’t really impressed me, but we enjoyed the water.
  22. What I love the most about that trip was the little fun we had as we experience the place, the company and most especially that was a celebration of my birthday.

Finally, I would like to thank the people who made that  trip truly memorable. I will never forget…SALAMAT.
