EXPERIENCING LINA’S AL FRESCO DINING

Our curiosity about the newly opened restaurant, Lina’s Al Fresco Dining brought us there, to experience and  catch up with my two other friends.

Lina’s Al Fresco Dining is located at 1st Street, near SSS Building. Lina’s Al Fresco Dining is a garden converted into a beautiful restaurant.Unlike ay another restaurant, their  signage outside was just small, as small as one piece of Cartolina and  not even lighted. The place is in a residential area so no one would think that there’s a restaurant inside. What distinguished the place from other houses in the place was  the wooden door which I suppose a gate before of the house.

Dining sets made of hardwood at Lina’s Al Fresco Dining, Ideal for big groups

As soon as you enter,  you will be greeted by the   vertical display of potted greens  which serves  as a blind for the entire restaurant.  To the right there is a bar  wherein waiters are waiting to usher guests to their reserved seats. Reserved seats  because for the first month of their operation they are always fully booked and if you wish to have a good spot in the restaurant you need to reserve especially if you come as a group. We saw a few groups who arrived without reservations, but they were lucky because others had left when they arrived so they were able to sit. Others were given a  table  against the wall  in a dark corner…

The water feature added a different dimension in the place

I love the ambiance of Lina’s Al Fresco Dining. That was about 6PM when I arrived and its quite dark already. The lighting  were just perfect and cozy great  for a date I suppose…and don’t worry about mosquitoes because the electric  fans were all over.

The dining sets were made of various  wooden furniture. There was even one daybed in a corner   used  as a dining seat.

Daybed use as part of the dining set

At the main cabana, elegant upholstered  comfortable sofas in lavender  were used for  lounging and dining .We  wished that we had  reserved those spots …the best spot I guess in the entire Lina’s Al Fresco Dining.

The water feature made the place more interesting.

Some of the waiters were familiar to us, because some of them were from other restos  we’d  eaten before.

The bar right at the entrance of the restaurant

The food were just fine. But the price when compared to the serving size was relatively high. Their serving size  was just enough for one person but if you are a large eater you need to order at least two dishes to enjoy. If you’ll ask me how much would be the budget per person…maybe you need to prepare PhP 600 to PhP 1,500/person  depending on your appetite and on the dish you will order.

I like particularly their Bagoong Fried Chicken. The bagoong in the dish was  not visible but the moment  you try it you can tell that it was marinated from Bagoong (Shrimp Paste).

For those who planned to try the restaurant, aside from making a reservation in advance, you’d  better come early as theres no parking space outside. I was able to park beside the restaurant but when we went home I realized that others were having difficulty  of parking their cars.
