ENCHANTING TINAGO MOUNTAIN RESORT

ENCHANTING TINAGO MOUNTAIN RESORT

December 31, 2011, the last day of the year…we decided to go to Pataan Mountain Resort. The  resort I guess is just  30-45 minute drive from our maternal home in Ma-ao.

As we approach Pataan we started to see signages of Tinago Mountain Resort and said: “why not Tinago? We haven’t visited the place yet. Nobody protested the idea especially when we saw another signage right after the Pataan Gate:“Tinago Mountain Resort-150meters away”.
The road was not concrete and I guess it would not be good idea to visit the place during rainy days.

‘Tinago’ means  Hidden in English language. Tinago Mountain Resort  formerly known as Hidden Valley   is located at Purok Abaca, Brgy.Mailum, Bago City. It is a mountain resort with water falls and three swimming pool for toddlers, children and adults

Entrance Fee: P50.00 ADULTS   35 – KIDS
Swimming Pool: P45.00                35 FOR KIDS
Daytrippers could stay at a cogon cottage (Php500, 600 and 700), concrete cottage (Php700), hall with wooden tables and chairs (Php1500) or get the   umbrellas with plastic tables and chairs (Php200, 4 available). You can also rent Tinago Mountain Resort’s big house (Php2500, good for 10-20 persons) if you wish to stay overnight.

The cottages were named after local insects such as “buyog” for bee, “sirum-sirum” for cricket, “talimbabaga” for centipede, “bagangan” for beetle and many more.

One thing I like most about the place –There’s no corkage fee for food and beverages. So you can bring all you can eat and drink.  I saw a canteen  but haven’t seen any goods for sale except for some  swimsuits for rent.

There was no visitor during our visit, so we felt like we own the whole resort. The kids do really enjoy dipping  in their ice-cold swimming pools. As usual, I WAS the photographer

Just a few meters away from the pool  you can already enjoy the crystal clear water falls.

Visit Tinago Mountain Resort, you will surely love the place.

How to Get There:

From Bacolod City, you can take Roadstar Bus (Php30 per head) from Bacolod (Libertad) to Brgy. Ma-ao, Bago City. Then you can rent a tricycle  from Brgy. Ma-ao to Tinago.
