Jin Long Hotpot in Bacolod City
Contents
Bacolod City continues to grow as one of the emerging food destinations in the Philippines, with new restaurants and dining concepts constantly appearing across the city. Among the newest and currently most talked-about additions is Jin Long Hotpot, a modern hotpot and grill restaurant located at Anahaw Arcade along Anahaw Street near the Taoist Temple area in Bacolod City.
Recently, I had the opportunity to revisit the restaurant together with friends after receiving a message from CG Hisona, who happened to be in Bacolod for some meetings and errands. He suggested that we all gather for dinner so we could catch up, and eventually the evening turned into a pleasant dining session filled with conversations, laughter, updates, and of course, hotpot.
Interestingly, this was actually our second visit to Jin Long Hotpot. Our first dining experience there was perhaps sometime last year, and because the experience back then was already positive, returning for another round somehow gave us a better opportunity to observe the restaurant more carefully beyond the initial curiosity and hype surrounding new dining establishments.
So now comes the question many locals and visitors are asking:
Sulit ba ang Jin Long Hotpot in Bacolod City?
Jin Long Hotpot offers both hotpot and grill dining concepts, making it ideal for:
Unlike traditional restaurants where meals are simply served ready-to-eat, diners personally cook meats, seafood, vegetables, and other ingredients using simmering soup broths and tabletop grilling setups.
This interactive setup naturally creates longer conversations and more engaging dining moments, which is probably one reason why hotpot culture continues gaining popularity among younger diners and social groups.
The restaurant is situated inside a relatively new commercial building along Anahaw Street, one of Bacolod’s increasingly active food and dining areas.
Honestly, the ambiance was pleasant.
It may not exactly have a luxury hotel atmosphere, but the interiors, seating arrangement, lighting, and overall layout were thoughtfully done. The restaurant felt modern, organized, visually clean, and comfortable enough for long conversations and relaxed dining.
One feature that immediately stands out is the elegant individual hotpot setup. Each diner gets a golden-colored hotpot vessel equipped with its own built-in burner underneath that continuously keeps the broth simmering throughout the meal. Aside from functionality, the setup itself adds a more premium and visually immersive feel to the experience.
The restaurant was also:
For unlimited dining restaurants, service usually becomes one of the biggest factors that affect the entire experience.
Thankfully, Jin Long performed well in this aspect.
The attendants and waiters were courteous, attentive, responsive, and presentable throughout the evening. Refill requests were properly handled, and the staff remained accommodating despite the steady flow of diners.
Overall, the dining atmosphere felt organized and pleasant.
Jin Long Hotpot offers several broth options including:
The quality of the broth and meats were honestly satisfying. Their unlimited setup includes:
The condiment station also offered a wide variety of sauces and seasonings for diners who enjoy customizing flavors according to personal preference.
Vegetable selections were decent and fresh enough for an unlimited setup, while side dishes such as karaage, tempura, rolls, and appetizers added more variety to the overall meal.
Plus, there was even complimentary ice cream available after dining, something many diners would definitely appreciate after a heavy hotpot and grill session.
Based on the restaurant’s currently displayed rates:

Additional charges include:
According to the staff, the currently displayed rates are already considered promo prices, and because of this, PWD discounts reportedly no longer apply. I honestly do not know how long promotional pricing structures may continuously run under existing regulations, so perhaps this may eventually require further clarification from proper agencies like DTI for both consumers and establishments.
Personally?
Yes.
The experience itself was satisfying and enjoyable overall.
However, to remain fair and balanced, I must also honestly say this:
For this same price range, I can also experience satisfaction in other unlimited or buffet-style restaurants in Bacolod City at a relatively lower cost.
And perhaps this is what makes food reviews difficult sometimes.
Because pricing is very relative.
Different diners value different things.
Some prioritize:
While others focus more on:
There are actually many factors contributing to restaurant pricing:
Because of this, it becomes difficult to directly compare one unlimited restaurant from another based on price alone.
Honestly, many of us already have our own personal favorite unlimited dining spots in Bacolod, although perhaps it is better not to mention mine here for now. Hahaha.
I am also still gathering observations and materials because I eventually plan to make a broader comparison among unlimited and buffet-style restaurants in Bacolod City. Each establishment has its own strengths, target market, ambiance, pricing strategy, and dining identity.
But overall, for first-time visitors and diners looking for a modern hotpot and grill experience in Bacolod City, Jin Long Hotpot offers a pleasant, interactive, and socially enjoyable dining experience.
At the end of the day, restaurants like this are no longer simply selling food.
They are also selling atmosphere, interaction, comfort, and shared moments around the table.
And at least for our group that evening, the experience itself made the dinner worth remembering.
