Introduction

The Art Cove of Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod, proudly presents “Echoes of the Forest: A Visual Ode to Nature,” a solo exhibition by the renowned Negrosanon visual artist, Revo Yanson. The exhibition, launched on March 6, 2024, attracted a diverse audience, including members of the media, distinguished guests, and local artists.

Revo Yanson is celebrated for his mastery of traditional painting and digital arts, with his work delving into the psychological and metaphysical realms. His creations transcend societal norms, offering profound insights into the human psyche.

Community Involvement

Beyond his artistic achievements, Revo Yanson has been deeply involved in the arts and the local community. He has chaired DIHON, the visual art sector of the Concerned Artists of the Philippines-Negros, and co-founded ArtTambay, a multi-disciplinary art collective. Additionally, he co-manages Galleria G, an artist-run space in Bacolod.

With five solo exhibitions and participation in group shows in Negros Occidental and Los Angeles, USA, Revo Yanson has established himself as a visionary artist on both the local and international stages. His return to Art Cove symbolizes the gallery’s commitment to nurturing local talent and providing a platform for artists to thrive.

Archie Javellana, Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod’s Rooms Division Manager, spoke enthusiastically about the hotel’s enduring commitment to supporting local artists. He reiterated the hotel’s dedication to fostering a vibrant arts community in Bacolod, highlighting the importance of art in enriching lives and connecting people. Javellana’s words underscored Art Cove’s mission to continue supporting and promoting local artists, ensuring that their voices and creations are celebrated and appreciated by all who visit the gallery.

The exhibition also featured a special performance by Revo Yanson, who delivered his exhibit statement in the form of a “Binalaybay,” accompanied by Mr. Ryn Paul Gonzales on bamboo flute and Mr. Mike Borromeo on guitar. The event marked a significant moment for Art Cove and the local art scene, showcasing the talent and dedication of Negrosanon artists like Revo Yanson.
