In the Southern part of Cebu, you will find Tubod Flowing Waters Resort. The place has natural springs known as “Tubod” in the Cebuano dialect. Tubod Flowing waters have four Swimming Pools which can be both enjoyed by adults and kids. One of the main pool has 2 large slides which can make your swimming experience more enjoyable.

While checking the place I saw a gate leading t a man-made cave which houses the spring. I was just a bit disappointed because I was expecting open large springs but the springs I saw were already filled with tubes leading to the pool. None the less, it is still a natural spring.

The resort also has a Bird Sanctuary with different indigenous birds endemic in the Philippines. The hotel rooms were clean with some basic amenities like hot and cold bath, refrigerator, tv, etc are available. But considering the amenities and their beautiful hotel, I guess the resort need to hire professional Interior Designer to dress up their rooms.

I was satisfied with our use of their Conference Room for the training of the Managers and Loan Officers of the Negros Women for Tomorrow’s Foundation, Cebu Area 8. The function room was spacious, aircon units were performing great and the food was amazingly cheap.

How to get to Tubod Flowing Water Resort

From the airport or seaport, you can take a Taxi or Car-for-hire going directly to Tubod. It is about 1 hour and 30 minutes ride from Mactan Airport depending on the traffic condition. From Mactan Airport, the cab would cost you from PHP 350.00 to PHP 400.00. You can also take a jeepney or bus going to Minglanilla or Naga (a town ahead) so you can save on fare. The bus from SM City going south would cost around PhP30.00 only. The signboard is visible enough for one to notice. Once there, you can ride a “habal-habal” (motorcycle for hire) or a tricycle. Habal-Habal would charge PhP 10.00 for each passenger. The resort is about 1.5 km from the main road. Tubod Flowing Waters is famous in Upper Pakigne Minglanilla. Just in front of Los Companeros restaurant, there is a small road going to Upper Pakigne, just go straight.
