A First Class Experience @ Avenue Suites Bacolod

It looks so simple on the outside, but we were truly amazed by the amenities of the Bacolod’s newest hotel along Lacson St., THE AVENUE SUITES. Located at the center of Bacolod’s Tourism Strip, 10 min from the sea port and 30 min from the Domestic airport , The Avenue Suites is a boutique hotel one must try when they visit the city of smiles. We were privileged to be among those early guests treated by the the hotel during their soft opening.

Actually, it was as soon as we enter the hotel and we were greeted by the hotel’s General Manager Ms. Dess Apuhin, and its very young Managing Director, Mr. Charles Lim . The hotel’s lobby is relatively small but perfectly arranged for a boutique hotel like the Avenue Suites.

The Bubble glass chandeliers right on top of the front office which is also seen from the street served as a focal point of the lobby.

The modern furniture and furnishings were picked from the best handicrafts makers from all over the country . Before Ms. Dess gave us a tour of the hotel, she treated us for a lunch first at Trey’s Restaurant which is also within the hotel building .The food were good and the presentation was perfect. Ms Dess insisted for a dessert which we were no able to resist. All rooms smells really good. The Matrimonial Room was truly romantic having a round bed and all there prime rooms comes with a welcome fruit basket. But I was delighted to see the welcome fruit tray/basket they used were made of paper – made in Negros of course. We the happy trippers were provided with the hotel’s executive suite .

The room has one matrimonial bed and one standard bed. All rooms are equipped with hot and cold shower; 32 inches LEDTV, safety deposit box and WIFI Internet Access. That was almost 5pm when we were told that the therapists of Bacolod Spa were waiting to give us a full body massage. The massage is one of the services which is ready anytime for the hotel’s guests. The Bacolod Spa will also be opened soon at the 5th floor of the hotel. To indulge in a good massage at the luxury of our room reminds me of a feeling only experienced during a get away vacation . We rested for a while after the massage…then we had our dinner with friends who are visiting Bacolod at that time. We unwind at the Trey’s Bar (2nd Floor) after our dinner.
