That was my second time at Lalimar Resort in La Libertad, Negros Oriental. Both of my visits were training engagements but I never miss to appreciate the place as it was truly relaxing to be in there.
The moment you will enter the main hall you will immediately enjoy the breath taking view of the sea . Their beautifully designed native villas offer the relaxing view of the sea and the beautiful sunrise in the Tañon Strait every morning.
I was there to conduct one of my series of “Personal Effectiveness Workshop” for the Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation. The rocky beach front provided me a good opportunity to do a different “teambuilding” games for my participants.
The sizes of their native villas are designed for relaxation as they were all huge. Their comfort rooms are big enough to be another room similar to the sizes of the rooms in economy hotels.
I was tempted to swim in the sparkling waters of their infinity swimming pool but I was there to conduct a training and I don’t want to swim along with my trainees . Instead , I just content myself to relax in the poolside to listen to music . They have free WIFI so I opened my emails each time I am free and I can update my blogs of course.

The resort offers a straightforward service. Their staff were not in uniform and while they don’t have the fancy greetings like in some big resorts, what I like most are the warmth and flexibility of their staff.
While the resort is run by the local government of La Libertad, I was surprise how they were able to maintain the resort very well.
Lalimar has large function halls ideals for weddings and big gatherings. They don’t have an airconditioned function rooms, though. How I wish they will have an airconditioned function rooms in the future.

What I enjoyed most were their native Filipino Food and their pizza baked in their brick oven.
Lalimar Beach Resort indeed is one of the nicest resorts in Negros Oriental, located in the municipality of La Libertad, a relaxing holiday destination and a perfect for family gathering.
How to get there:
Lalimar is an hour and thirty minutes away from Dumaguete City going north on the national highway. From Bacolod it is a 4 hour drive on a private car. But one can take the Bus from Bacolod to San Carlos City and from San Carlos take a bus going to Dumaguete and it will pass by this resort.
