Blackbeard’s Seafood Island Restaurant finally opens at the District, Ayala North Point in Talisay City, Metro Bacolod. Blackbeard’sSeafood Island is known for the freshest seafood, barbeque favorites and claimed to be the ultimate in island cooking.
Blackbeard’s Seafood Island has a wide array of seafood cuisine in their menu which I wanted to try in my next visit . But what really excites me is their “Boodle Feast” which they served for their guests during their grand opening.
Its been a long since I tried Blackbeard’s Seafood Island “Boodle Feast” in Market! Market ! in Manila. We ate with our bare hands and it was really fun.
Boodle style is a military style of eating ( Boodle Fight) where long tables are prepared and food are on top of the banana leaves. Viands and rice ready to eat using your bare hands, jugs of water are prepared on the side to wash hands before the “eating combat”. With the signal to start the boodle fight, everyone aims for his/her position.
Blackbeard’s Seafood Island would be the first to offer the Boodle Style of serving food in Metro Bacolod. Much as I wanted to use my bare hands, I opted to use spoon and pork because everyone else uses utensils — simply because it’s a grand opening and there plenty of guests and every now and then you will be shaking hands with some people coming in.
There were various “Boodle Feast” found in the menu of Blackbeard’s Seafood Island. I failed to ask what the name of the Boodle Feast served in our table table. But it has Crispy shrimps, grilled tilapia, grilled squid, grilled talong, steamed crabs, kinilaw, rice and chicharong bulaklak .
After a while another “Boodle feast” were delivered to us by their chef. This time – I know its called the “Tali Beach”. Tali Beach has Grilled chicken, inasal big bbq, steamed white shrimps, grilled tilapia, grilled tahong, crabs, grilled squid, grilled tomatoes, lato, mangga, pakwan with steamed rice.
Eating the Boodle Feast is really fun. I’m sure that it will be of great time to have bonding with my siblings and barkada with this kind of food and presentation. So here’s the list of their boodle feast Offerings:
