NEW DOT SLOGAN: It’s more fun in the Philippines

DOT recently released its new slogan for the Philippines after the much criticized “Pilipinas Kay Ganda” which was released last year. I find the new slogan a bit off after knowing that it was used a long time ago by Switzerland (1951). And yes, I agree to some that the slogan is more of a caption, it’s quite long to be a slogan. But on the positive note, the logo is colorful and very native.

DOT SLOGAN If I were to suggest something to the DOT, I would rather retain the old one which is WOW Philippines, it’s more original and easy to remember. It speaks well of our world-class destinations such as beaches, mountains, caves and others. The Philippines is a beautiful country and all we can do is to create a slogan that is really inviting to tourists. Something that can surely catch their attention. I hope people from DOT can double their efforts not just in making a slogan for the country but in promoting the beauty of Philippines worldwide. Let’s show them what we got. Bring in the tourists and let them experience a Happy Trip in the Philippines.

UPDATE ON THIS POST

The Department of Tourism is now thinking for a new tourism campaign slogan where the launching is planned in time of the 2017 Miss Universe Pageant on January 30, 2017, to be held at the MOA Arena. The “It’s more fun in the Philippines!” slogan was cited to have created  more tourists arrival in  the country as compared to the previous ones. Prior  to this tourism slogan, we have “Fiesta Islands Philippines,” “WOW Philippines,” and “Pilipinas Kay Ganda.”  It is good to note that apart from the tourism slogan, there are other factors that may attract tourist in visiting the country. In my own opinion, factors like peace and order maybe the first and most  important  of all.
