It’s cool to see your food being grilled right in front of you (take note, this grill is in front of the street too, Lol!)
CHEAP AND FUN DINING IN BACOLOD CITY
Contents
Lately, we wanted to celebrate something— and we wanted to eat outside. I can’t think of a place to eat at that time. I don’t know if you have also experienced like getting tired of the restaurants you used to eat? You get tired not because they don’t serve good food anymore…it’s just that, you just wanted to eat something different or you just want a different ambiance.
the fun part of eating in this place, is you picked from these choices what you want to be grilled…
Then , we remembered one place – the food alley at the right side portion, across the street of the People’s House (New Government Center, Bacolod City, Philippines). During day time, you will not really notice this place as this area seemed sleeping during day time. But as the sun sets, this place comes to life.
Chicken Gizzard and Liver…together with sliced Pork Mascara
I get to know this place because I used to walk around People’s House (New Government Center). Basically, the place only sells grilled dishes ( chicken, pork, fish) and drinks of course. But let me warned you, this place is not for the picky ones, or those who wanted a nice ambiance. This place is really for the masses. Some people go to this place to drink, eat or others just buy grilled food to bring home.
Chicken Inasal (Chicken Breast or Pecho)
Surprisingly, I have spotted several times many Koreans and some office workers dining in the place. Probably, it’s really their price why the place is being patronized by the masses.
Here’s what I ordered in that visit:
- Chicken Breast – 45/stick
- Atay (Chicken Liver) – 20/stick
- Baticolon (Chicken Gizzard) -10/stick
- Grilled Pork Mascara -35/stick
- Rice – 10/cup
- Softdrink – 15/bottle
Literally, I overate that time, but I just spent PhP 135.00 for myself.
Isn’t it cool to eat cool to eat beside the street?
Should you wish to visit the place, here’s my advice:
- Don’t bring kids.
- Bring alcogel, they don’t have enough water supply in the place. But they have plenty of calamansi, so rub these in your hands…
- I haven’t checked their comfort room
- Drink bottled water
- They don’t serve light of drinks, but they don’t mind if you bring a can of soda
- Get ready to inhale some smoke from the grills
- Again, this place is for the masses
I can surely testify to the yumminess of Bacolod chicken. I always gain a few pounds everytime I go to that City. My go to inasal place is Chicken Deli. Not sure if it’s still there though.
I will surely visit this place when I visit the masskara 2015.tanx for sharing 🙂
message me, I might be of help when you come 🙂
Looks good Jojo.
The tips at the end were really helpful too, will take note with thanks 🙂
Thanx Shivani 🙂
