Gawahon Eco Park
GAWAHON ECO PARK, VICTORIAS CITY, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL GUIDE | TOURIST ATTRACTION
Contents
Visiting Negros Occidental has been one of the things that I included in my bucket list of travel destinations. With all the features and blogs that I have read about the activities which one can experience in this province, I felt interested in visiting the place. Thus, the opportunity arrived, and I can say that it was indeed an experience of a lifetime especially that I was with my ETEEAP Students of LCC Batch 2019 a.k.a Team Fabulous.
The incredible adventure that I had will always be a part of the memories that I hold dear when I think of Negros Occidental. One of which is the visit to the Gawahon Eco Park, located at the Victorias City of the province.
The word “gawahon” itself as a Hiligaynon word means “overlooking.” Yes, it provides an overlooking view of the beauty of nature and creation, all wrapped into a single place.
Seven Falls
The primary attraction that they have are the seven waterfalls. Yes, you’ve read it right — seven waterfalls located within the area of the Gawahon Eco Park.
Each waterfall is different and unique from the others. That is why if you get to visit here, you can witness the vibrant and flourishing beauty of seven unique waterfalls! How cool is that right?
Other Activities that you can do at Gawahon Eco Park
Koi Pond
Gawahon Eco Park used to offer a lagoon boating and paddle boating. But during our recent visit, the lagoon was converted into a Koi Pond.
Swimming Pool
Swimming is also possible because they have the swimming pool as one of their facilities. This is why a lot of visitors enjoy their stay here with their respective families because they get to bond and enjoy all together.
Hiking
If you are now more of a hiking person, then doing some hiking here is also possible.
Bird Watching
At the top part of the Eco Park, you will be greeted with some of the endangered living animals. Some of which are the hawk-eagle, negros bleeding heart pigeon, and a lot more! Interaction with these animals may be limited, but having the chance to witness such beautiful creation and life can already bring a much higher level of bliss. For sure, a chance to see these creatures will complete your dream of a hiking and experience adventure.
Cottages/Villas
Once you feel that you are tired of the activities, there will also be an available place for you to stay and rest. They have the cottage or picnic hut for small groups and a multi-purpose hall for big groups. For an overnight stay, there is also the provision of rooms, suites, and villas. While the place needs more maintenance, I can still say that the place offers a unique and refreshing experience.
Villas/Cottages Prices : 1,800 | 2,000 | 3,000
In the world where we continuously move and do things to survive, I realized that it is also essential for us to pause for a while and take our sit. We merely enjoy all the things that the environment has to offer, and we let our human body and soul reconnect with the beauty of nature. Gawahon Eco Park is just here, waiting for you to visit, waiting to offer you all its perks and privileges. Have a Happy Trip!
