  1. Trexie Grace Guaza

The pandemic affected the tourism industry and when the tourism of Bohol was just starting to bounce back from the boarder closure then came Typhoon Odette, last December 2021, which destroyed a lot of tourist spots (ex. Man-made Forest, Baclayon church, Maribojoc church and many other more). The government authorities and its people are working hand in hand to recover from the destruction. Having the Tagbilaran Airport is a great help to attract foreign nationals as tourists and maybe as an investor. Bohol has beautiful beaches to offer in addition to their majestic tourist spots especially the Chocolate Hills wherein Bohol is well known of. To enrich the tourism of Bohol, we could encourage locals to share great photos/videos of the tourist spots through their social media because in this cybergeneration, sharing photos and videos of great places is easy with the help of technology. The Tourism authorities may arrange a convention for influencers, bloggers and media to help intensify the tourism in Bohol.

  2. Elena P. Dato-on

Bohol is known for its beautiful chocolate hills and the tarsier. The hills are covered in green grass that turns brown in the dry season that’s why it is called the chocolate hills. Its uniqueness is what makes it stand out from other tourist places. The tarsiers in Bohol are known as the world’s smallest primate, it is very small but is found cute because of their very big eyes. Lastly, Bohol is one of the places in the Philippines that serve exotic foods like fried worms. To invite more tourists to this place, I suggest that we will:
    • Encourage the locals and the government to support the protection of wildlife
    • Maintain the cleanliness of the place
    • Encourage Local residents to maintain the culture of being hospitable, and helpful when accommodating tourists.
    • Keep updated on what’s happening in your area. If you are local, aside from the share what’s new to others. This will help other people see what they will enjoy in place.
    • Always carry the picture of “Chocolate Hills” in every event, promotion, and ad to introduce to every tourist visiting the place.
    • Business to make tie-up with Bloggers, Tik Tokers, and YouTubers who influence Facebook and Instagram users who followed these influencers.

  3. The province of Bohol lies in the Central Visayas Region of the Philippines. Known for its remarkable geological formations, including the Chocolate Hills and coral reefs. Many vloggers have praised Bohol for its many attractions, including the Tarsier Conservation Area, and for the welcoming residents. Another popular local dish that is a must-try is the delicious calamay delicatessen. Foreign tourists should never skip seeing historical sites like the Bamboo Hanging Bridge, Blood Compact Monument, and Baclayon Church. A must-see site is the Hinagdanan Cave, which is specially lit by sunlight entering through the ceiling holes. There are activities in the Loboc River that are uncommon to find elsewhere. Bohol provides both natural and man-made tourism attractions.
Bohol should have an urban vibe with different fun activities, such as sports clubs, bars, and nightclubs, despite the attractive presence of unique attractions. Also, decent buildings and 4-star or 5-star hotels should be built.

  4. Bohol is one of the amazing places in the Philippines in Region VII and it’s been included in 7 wonders of the world. Bohol is very famous for their beach, especially the Chocolate hills and their smallest monkey name tarsier.
Also been to Bohol, during my on-the-job training in Siquijor the owner of the coco grove resort he brings us to Bohol together with his family to join their tour to see and explore what is Bohol at that time. That moment I was in Bohol I feel so amazing we stay at Panglao beach for a few days and every day we have a schedule to follow for a tour.

For sure at this moment the Bohol local government they have already done its part on how to improve and maintain their island and on how to be more attractive to the tourists either foreign or local tourists from the Philippines. Through local bloggers, it’s a big help to boost and showcase what Bohol can offer to their tourists either foreign or local while exploring their islands.
Island hopping is the best deal to do on Bohol beach, like snorkelling and other water activity they have. And you are able to hold the smallest monkey in the world with your on-hand it’s a really amazing experience you will never forget for the rest of your life.
Since our country has just started to pick up from the effect of the pandemic we need to make sure there is a safety procedure need to be followed by the tourist coming to Bohol.
The local DTI need to collaborate with all the resorts and hotels in town to come up with some idea or promotions to attract tourist to come in and explore Bohol.
Like free entrance fee, 20% discount if you stay 3 or more nights in the hotel. And 10% for dine-in.

  5. One of my destination get-aways this 2022 is Bohol. Upon researching this beautiful place, I bumped into its luxurious tourist attraction and voluptuous sceneries.
The famous tourist attraction, Chocolate Hills, is more than 1,000 symmetrical mounds, conical, and dome-shaped hills that most people associated these with Hersey’s Kisses. These Chocolate Hills are covered in green grass that turns brown like chocolate during the dry season.
Aside from Bohol’s famous Chocolate Hills, they also have lots of beaches, waterfalls, caves, rivers, fore, rivers, forests, and parks you can travel to. Bohol will not disappoint you when it comes to beaches and islands as they have Panglao Island. Panglao Island is connected to the main Bohol island by bridges and can be traveled to by land vehicles; moreover, most tourists who love the sun, sea, and sand visit and stay in this part of the province because of its closeness to pristine beaches and islands. Aside from this beach, you can also visit other beaches like Alona Beach, Dumaluan Beach, Bagobo Beach, Bolod Beach, Danao Beach, Doljo Beach, and Momo Beach.
If you are the type of person who likes exploration. Explore the cave of Hinagdanan! Hinagdanan Cave offers a beautiful pool of clear water at the bottom and you can swim under the mesmerizing sight of stalactites and stalagmites. Hinagdanan Cave is also easily accessible from the Chocolate Hills and waterfall destinations in the province.
Paddle and cruise along the Loboc River on a boat or paddleboard. Loboc River is one of Bohol’s most beautiful natural attractions as this river has been preserved through the combined efforts of the local authorities and the residents. You can board on a floating restaurant while you feast on a Filipino lunch buffet that runs through a serene 1.5 km long river.
Who is up for some tarsiers? These nocturnal creatures, tarsiers, are considered to be the smallest primate in the world and they grow to be just 15 centimeters long at most. Imagine that? They’re so cute and adorable.
Bohol has a lot for you. Thus, if you are planning to go on a vacation, Bohol is the best place to be.
